The renovations, partly funded by the ASPCA and an anonymous donor, include upgrades to improve the living conditions for dogs with behavioral needs. Currently, 135 dogs are in the shelter and foster homes, with 55 available for adoption. Each adopted dog comes with essential services, including vaccinations and spay/neuter surgery. The fee-waived event coincides with Memorial Day weekend, allowing families extra time to acclimate to their new pets.
