The 2024-2025 Biennial Budget includes a $1 million appropriation to further expand educational and social activities for students. Councilmember Rosie Ayala highlighted the successful collaboration among various agencies, including Tacoma Public Schools and local nonprofits, which helped establish the program in response to youth gun violence. Summer Late Nights offers a safe space for middle and high school students, featuring free dinners and various recreational activities.
