Garcia, the incumbent for Council Position 1, leads with 45.6 percent, while Jessica Ivey trails at 27.4 percent. Sam Méndez holds a commanding lead for Position 3 with 46.7 percent, followed by Marie Barbon at 31.8 percent. Incumbent Sarah Moore is well-positioned for reelection in Position 5, holding nearly 62 percent against Gabriel Fernandez at 23.4 percent. In the state House race for the 33rd Legislative District, Rep. Edwin Obras leads with 44.8 percent, while former Mayor Kevin Schilling has 31.7 percent. Turnout across King County is about 22 percent of registered voters, with Burien slightly lower at 20 percent. The top two candidates in each race will advance to the November General Election.
