Delayed Trash Collection

Brea, CAGovernment

QUICK SUMMARY

Brea residents face delays in waste collection due to labor issues with Republic Services. Residents should leave bins out for potential pickup over the weekend, and roll-off bins are available for trash drop-off at designated locations.

Brea residents are experiencing waste collection delays due to ongoing labor issues with Republic Services. Those whose trash was not picked up on scheduled days should leave bins out for possible collection on the weekend of July 12-13. Residents in association communities are encouraged to consult their management for further instructions. To assist with the situation, Republic Services has placed five roll-off bins around the city for residents to drop off bagged trash. Locations include Carbon Canyon/Olinda Village and Sports Park, among others. Trash bags will also be available for pickup at the Brea Community Center during operating hours. The delays stem from a union strike in the Boston area, although there is no strike in Brea itself. Residents can reach Republic Services at (714) 238-2444 for questions or further updates.
