Auburn Mayor Nancy Backus and two incumbent City Council members lead their races in the initial results from the Nov. 4 general election. Backus captured 3,567 votes (56.64%), outpacing challenger Yolanda Trout, who received 2,672 votes (42.43%). Incumbent Kate Baldwin leads Council Position 2 with 4,219 votes (70.34%), while Adib Altallal trails with 1,703 votes (28.39%). In Council Position 4, Brian Lott holds 3,373 votes (55.60%) over Erica Tomas's 2,656 votes (43.78%). For Position No. 6, incumbent Lisa M. Stirgus leads with 3,487 votes (57.56%), while Cobi Clark has 2,519 votes (41.58%). The election results highlight strong support for incumbents and demonstrate increased voter engagement in municipal races across South King County.
